NBS Rescue

NBS Animal Rescue’s mission is to Foster, Love, and Adopt homeless dogs, one-by-one, until there are none.

Specifically, we focus on pulling small breed dogs from Michigan shelters. We take the seniors and medical needs dogs that are least likely to be adopted, and are at a high risk of euthanasia. All necessary medical care is provided for them until we find them a loving home.

Since 2011, even as a smaller foster-based rescue we have proudly adopted out over 600 dogs. We are a 5-star rescue certified by the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance, by always going above and beyond the best standardized rescue practices. Since 2011, we have been successful in securing grants that help fund our senior medical needs program, emergency medical outreach program, and post-adoption training programs. We proudly operate a pet food pantry that often supplies other rescues and outreach groups with dog food when the need arises. To date, we have supplied over 40,000 lbs. of dog food to animals in need.

Life-saving #PlungeForPaws donations will replenish one of our 3 main programs: Senior Medical Fund, Emergency Outreach Fund, or Post-Adoption Training fund. All of these programs are geared to help the neediest dogs receive the care they desperately deserve and keep them in loving homes.

C.H.A.I.N.E.D. Inc.’s mission is to get each outdoor chained dog off the chain, one dog at a time.

We enhance the lives of 24/7 chained/outside dogs by providing life enhancing supplies & services including: insulated dog houses, straw, safe fenced yards/kennels, spay/neuter assistance, vaccines, heartworm prevention, treats, toys, love and most importantly… owner education and resources. Correcting the problem where it originates decreases the number of homeless and neglected animals.

Every dog is worth saving and this is our way of saving them!Since 2011, C.H.A.I.N.E.D. Inc. volunteers have assisted:
2,897 dogs/puppies (some cats/kittens too)
880 igloos/barns given to outside dogs
648 spay/neuter
347 surrendered/rescued
84 adoptions
68 freedom kennels built

Life-saving #PlungeForPaws donations will allow C.H.A.I.N.E.D. Inc. to purchase over 800 bales of straw for outdoor dog house insulation. Donations will also provide outdoor chained dogs with warm shelter and food for the winter. We plan to purchase insulated outdoor igloo dog houses, warm heating pads, heated water bowls so water doesn’t freeze over, dry kibble food, comfortable collars and lightweight leashes. Most importantly, we will provide pet owners with educational materials on how to keep their dogs safe and healthy during Michigan’s brutal and deadly cold winter weather. We encourage all pet owners to bring their dogs indoors during the coldest nights so we provide indoor crates. Please Register to #TakeThePlunge during the #PlungeForPaws Main Event or make a life-saving donation to an animal in need!

4 Paws 1 Heart

Join the 4 Paws 1 Heart team and start fundraising today!

4 Paws 1 Heart’s mission is to reduce the number of homeless animals on the streets by providing medical treatment for abandoned, stray and abused companion animals.

In 2010 we realized there was a serious need for medical assistance to homeless animals found on the streets. We founded our non-profit organization to help all stray/abandoned animals in need, even those originally taken in by rescue organizations, animal control officers, or good Samaritans. 4 Paws 1 Heart have proudly cared for paralyzed animals, those in need of surgery or critical emergency care, and animals who require the simple basics of testing, vaccines, and spay/neuter.

With the assistance of our donors, veterinarian partners, and the caring rescuers, we give these innocents a voice and work to make a difference in their lives.

Since August, 2010, 4 Paws 1 Heart has paid $850,000 in medical bills for over 6,000 animals. Not included in this number are the many animals who will NOT be born because every animal we touch is spayed/neutered. A 4 month-old cat can birth a litter (averaging 5 kittens) three times a year. So 15 kittens born per year for her entire lifespan could add up to thousands of homeless cats. So, by spaying/neutering, thousands of cats are being saved from facing the hardships of living and dying on the streets. 4 Paws 1 Heart is a very small organization. Because it is not a rescue which charges adoption fees for animals, the organization relies totally on individual donations and fundraisers. All dollars donated go directly to veterinarians for medical treatment.

4 Paws 1 Heart also graciously accepts tangible donations of food and supplies to distribute to rescues, shelters, and individuals who rescue abandoned/stray animals. We have personally purchased cat shelters for caretakers of cat communities and have worked diligently to make people aware of the needs of the abandoned/abused. By partnering with other businesses we have also been able to supply crates and carriers to rescues in need.

Detroit Animal Welfare Group (DAWG)

Join the Detroit Animal Welfare Groups Team and start fundraising today!

Detroit Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) is a nonprofit, NO KILL, foster-based rescue helping homeless, abandoned, and neglected animals of ALL kinds! We won’t rest until every animal is off the streets and dog fighting no longer exists!

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome all varieties of animals in need or those at risk of euthanasia. We provide full medical care including spay/neuter and vaccinations. We focus our efforts on animals who have received severe neglect, abuse, dog fighting and obsolete vet care. We provide pet-owner education in hopes of stopping the vicious cycle of irresponsible pet ownership. We primarily service the Metro Detroit area.

We launched our organization in 2011 with an emphasis on rescuing dogs and cats from the Detroit area. We quickly found we needed much more space so that we could help other types of animals that had nowhere to go. We purchased our first 15 acres in Romeo 4 years ago in 2015 so that we could build a bigger kennel and also welcome our first farm animals coming from neglected or abandoned situations. A year later, we expanded once again by buying 10 more additional acres and became one of Macomb County’s first wildlife rehabilitators.

We would like to winterize our kennel in order to become more energy efficient and make our rescue dogs more comfortable during the cold weather of winter. Our indoor/outdoor kennel runs need new doors that will allow them access to the outside without letting the heat escape. Finally, our flooring is showing wear and needs a new coat of epoxy, which will provide a safer surface when the dogs enter from the snow outside.

Join Furget Us Not Rescue’s Team and start fundraising today!

Furget Us Not Rescue‘s motto is “Lifetime Commitment. Unconditional Love. “

Our mission is to provide safe foster and permanent homes for companion animals who are rescued from shelters, owner surrenders, or found abandoned. We carry out this mission by providing compassionate care, owner education, and animal advocacy to save pet’s lives.

We believe that ALL pets deserve a loving home for the entirety of their lives, even in sickness and old age. We regularly take in senior dogs whose human family member may have passed away before their pet and find new homes for them to be loved for the remainder of their lives. *Like Patty, Pip, and Kramer.

Often times we take in animals who are sick or neglected and restore them to health so that they can enjoy their best life in a new home.

Frequently we pull animals from shelters who are heartworm positive and we keep them in foster homes for the duration of the long and expensive heartworm treatment. *Like Colorado

As a result of taking such cases, we often have large vet expenses, but regardless, we never charge more than a flat rate for an adoption fee. Instead we make up the shortfall through donations. We rely on these donations to allow us to continue our life-saving work.

Bright Point Rescue’s mission is to turn dark pasts into bright futures for the dogs we serve.
We rescue the unwanted, abandoned, neglected, abused and sick and we give them the love and care they need to thrive.

Since our start in 2015, Bright Point Rescue has helped hundreds of dogs go from sick, homeless, unwanted and unloved to treasured family pets. We do this through our foster network and our “rescue room” located in Southgate, Michigan.

In addition to rescuing, we love being involved in the community. It is not uncommon for us to help pet owners pay vet bills for their pets in need. We help pay for spay and neuters, pet food and other life-saving necessities. This year our additional goal is to grow our network outreach.

The Michigan Animal Adoption Network (MAAN) is a Metro-Detroit non-profit organization founded in 1994 with a mission to decrease dog and cat homelessness and overpopulation. MAAN works very hard to provide proper housing, straw, food, supplies and sterilization to animals in need. It also provides important pet-owner education on proper pet-care.

To date, MAAN has impressively adopted out more than 6,500 dogs/cats through the Adopt-A-Pet program, and visited nearly 145,000 addresses to offer assistance through the Animal Care Network (ACN). ACN has rescued nearly 19,000 dogs/cats and spayed/neutered nearly 9,550 animals. These programs have proudly received national recognition from Nickelodeon News and Best Friends Animal Society. ACN even received an Animal Planet award nomination! This organization survives solely on donations from the public to continue lifesaving efforts.

MAAN frequently engages in special promotions and fundraising in an effort to grow their supporter base. The Michigan Animal Adoption Network continually strives for unique ways to fundraise, educate the public, and continue their street rescue efforts and low-cost spay/neuter program.

#PlungeForPaws donations will provide life-saving pet-food and pet-supplies for MAAN’s street rescue efforts for animals in need living in Pontiac, Michigan. Donations will provide straw for outdoor doghouse insulation, and much-needed winter pet supplies.

Please make a life-saving donation today, and help bring warmth to an animal in need this winter!
Each dollar raised through the #PlungeForPaws will give a pet in need a second chance at life and the Christmas miracle they deserve. Thank you!

Canine Companions Rescue Center

Join the Canine Companions Rescue Center Team and start fundraising today!

Companions Rescue Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit, no-kill, volunteer dog rescue organization founded in 2004 to prevent dogs from going into public shelters, and then to help animals at high risk of being euthanized get out.

Over the past 15 years, CCRC has proudly given a second chance at life and a fresh start to over 8,500 pets in need. Our organization never discriminates and we proudly assist dogs in distress regardless of their age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take first priority. We work hand-in-hand with the community and local animal control agencies to promote the adoption of dogs without families. If our adopters and our dogs are both happier after the match, than we’ve done our job!

Our Canine Companions Rescue Center volunteers are very proud of having helped so many dogs throughout the years. However, the harsh reality we recognize is that the true problem originates before a dog ever enters a shelter. To combat the vicious cycle of pet abandonment at it’s, roots, in 2016 we proudly launched a unique initiative called the “Paws Project”.  Our “Paws Project” assists families in our community who need financial help to provide for their dogs. With this assistance program many dogs in Clarkston are spayed or neutered and receive ongoing free pet food. This invaluable program is still evolving and growing and a very critical part of Canine Companion’s rescue work.

Our Adoption Screening Process means “No Pet Left Behind”! Once removed from the local shelter, animals in our care are placed with a nurturing volunteer foster family. Meanwhile, we work hard to align a loving, responsible and committed fur-ever home. Our thorough adoption screening process includes taking considerable care in finding good matches, and simultaneously educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and realistic costs associated with bringing a pet into their home and daily lives. After adoption, our CCRC team continually follows up and remains committed to the health and welfare of each animal far beyond the adoption process.

Join us on our mission! We work tremendously hard to keep administrative expenses extremely low so that virtually every dollar CCRC takes in goes directly to the care of the animals. Our CCRC Team is always eager to collaborate with local animal shelters, pet rescues and humane organizations to develop a wide network of support volunteers. Every day, more than 9,000 pets are killed in America’s shelters – but if we work together we can drastically decrease this number. We hope you will join us on our mission to create a better world for homeless pets!

Join A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue’s Team and start fundraising today!

A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue’s mission is to help all the homeless, neglected, abused animals and find them forever homes and educate the public on how important spaying and neutering is.

A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue is a no-kill, foster-based cat and dog rescue. We are a non-profit charity located in the Metro-Detroit area. All of the animals that come into in our care have been rescued from one place or another. We pull from high-kill animal shelters, we take in the sick, unwanted, aggressive, abandoned, abused and neglected animals. We place them in a foster home with someone who will understand them, rehabilitate them and show them what it is like to be loved again. We feel that all animals deserve better and we strive to give them a life full of love and happiness.

Each animal that comes into our organization is a part of someone’s family until they find their forever homes. Fostering is probably one of the most rewarding experiences ever! To see an animal come to you that is helpless, lonely, lost, abused and neglected go from underdog to wonderdog is the greatest feeling in the whole world. While in a loving foster home, it is easier to determine a pet’s as they receive the one-on-one attention that they deserve.

A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue also runs a community outreach project, helping 24/7 chained dogs, stray/feral cats and more. We provide medical care (including TNR), food, treats, toys, bones, proper tie outs, collars, shelter, straw and more!

Our volunteers are essential to aid in fundraising, follow-ups, fostering, event planning, administrative work or just say a prayer for the babies we are trying to save. If you want to volunteer we can always use your help. It does not matter if you can devote as little as 4 hours a week or 40 hours a week. Please visit our webpage here to learn the ways you can volunteer, or make a life-saving donation and become an integral part of an animal’s second chance at life!
