Bark-A-Bout’s ‘Plunge For Paws In Need’ Winter, 2019 Fundraiser culminated in a teeth-chattering Weekend Event this past Saturday and Sunday!

As a spin-off of the famous ‘Polar Plunge’, both humans and dogs took a plunge into Bark-A-Bout’s indoor pool in order to raise money for pets in need this winter!

Saturday dogs took a warm plunge into Bark-A-Bout’s indoor pool and together they raised over $700! Their tail-wagging afternoon included a free ‘Plunge For Paws’ bandana, a medal of completion and lots of splish-splashing fun!

This past Sunday, Bark-A-Bout transformed our Indoor Aquatic Center into an arctic blast by dumping ice into our indoor pool! Each Brrrrrave human that fundraised $100 or more had the opportunity to #TakeThePlunge into Bark-A-Bout’s freezing cold pool to help raise money for pets in need. Each plunger received a free #PlungeForPaws long-sleeved t-shirt. For those brave enough to jump in, they received an engraved Medal of Completion.
Support Our Rescues!
During the #PlungeForPaws Main Event, each pet rescue showcased their rescue with an information table, adoptable pets, and a gracious donation of a gift basket which will be raffled off during Friday’s Grand Prize Announcement. Tune-in Live to Bark-A-Bout’s Facebook page this Friday, December 20th at 12pm as we announce all the big winners! So far the Bark-A-Bout Team has proudly raised $4,153 towards a Grand Prize Donation which will go to the pet rescue who raises the most donations by this Thursday at 3pm.

Indulge Your Sweet Tooth!
All guests received a free Bark-A-Bout travel coffee mug and were encouraged to warm up at the complimentary coffee and hot chocolate bar. Guests indulged in array of winter-themed desserts generously donated by local bakeries, fur’ends and family, including: Bake My Day Bakery, El Fornaio Bakery, Manda Lynne’s Macarons, Tootsie’s Cupcakery and more!
