IT IS AN HONOR TO CARE FOR YOUR PET
At Bark-A-Bout, our mission and top priority is always the health, well-being and comfort of each pet that enters our facility. As of October 1st, 2018, Bark-A-Bout updated our Vaccination Requirements Policy to include the Canine Influenza Vaccine (H3N2/H3N8, killed virus).
In order for your dog to be fully vaccinated for canine influenza, two doses of the flu vaccine are required two to four weeks apart, and each following year as one yearly booster shot. To make the vaccination process more convenient for our customers, Bark-A-Bout is teaming up with a licensed veterinarian from Creekside Animal Hospital to offer a convenient vaccination clinic being held at Bark-A-Bout:
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST, 2019 (9AM-1PM)

.
HOW TO REGISTER AND GET AN APPOINTMENT:
To complete the registration process and lock in your time slot, FULL ONLINE PAYMENT OF EACH VACCINE SHOT (“$45 DEPOSIT”) IS REQUIRED. Appointments set up where deposits are not paid within 48 hours will be terminated in order to accommodate other paying customers.
.
Important reminder: Since two rounds of the vaccine are required to complete the vaccination process, we highly encourage you to complete the registration process for both clinic dates, right away. If for any reason you can’t make it to both clinic appointments, or if there is no open time slots during one of our clinics, you will need to make special arrangements outside of Bark-A-Bout to take your dog to their vet within 2 to 4 weeks, so they can receive their second vaccination shot of the series within the required time frame. Failing to receive the second required follow-up vaccine shot of the series within the 2 to 4 week window makes the first shot nearly ineffective, and your vet will likely advise you to start the flu vaccination process over.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
How much is it?
For first timers, in order to become fully vaccinated your dog will require two rounds of the canine flu vaccine (administered 2 to 4 weeks apart from eachother). Each round costs $45 per dog. Each following year, only one yearly booster shot will be required annually.
Payment and Registration:
To complete the registration process and lock in your time slots, FULL ONLINE PAYMENT OF EACH VACCINE SHOT (“$45 DEPOSIT”) IS REQUIRED WITHIN 48 HOURS. Appointments set up where deposits are not paid within 48 hours will be terminated in order to accommodate other paying customers. Important reminder: If it is your dog’s first time receiving the flu vaccine, since two rounds of the vaccine are required to complete the vaccination process, we highly encourage you immediately make special arrangements outside of Bark-A-Bout to take your dog to a vet within the 2 to 4 week window so they can receive the second required follow-up vaccine. Failing to receive the follow-up vaccination within the 2 to 4 week window makes the first round ineffective.

How long do I have to register for the clinic?
Appointments are available on a first-come, first-served basis, based in the order of payment received. Once all slots are full, you will not be able to create an appointment.
.
My dog has already been to their vet and received their first dose of the canine flu vaccine. Can I bring my dog to your clinic for their second dose of the flu vaccine?
Yes! Creekside Animal Hospital can vaccinate your dog with either round of the canine flu vaccine. Please bring your pet’s flu vaccination documentation with you.
.
My dog has special medical needs. Do I have time to talk to Creekside’s Veterinarian before getting my dog vaccinated?
Yes. During your appointment at Bark-A-Bout’s Flu Clinic, Creekside’s Veterinarian will be offering each pet a very brief medical exam. During that time, feel free to ask any questions you may have.
.
How long are appointments?
We estimate each dog to receive a 5 minute appointment. Please arrive to Bark-A-Bout early so you can potty your dog outside prior to their appointment.
.
What happens if I am late to my appointment?
If you know you are going to be late, please call Bark-A-Bout at (586)566-8900 so we can do our best to put you into an open time slot. If there are no available slots, your appointment time will be forfeited and a $10 fee will be deducted from your refund.
.
Can I get my dog vaccinated with any other vaccines?
No. The only vaccine that your dog can receive during this flu clinic is the canine influenza vaccine. All other vaccinations must be administered through your pet’s vet separately.
.
If my dog recently contracted the dog flu, can I still bring him into Bark-A-Bout’s clinic to be vaccinated?
No. Vets recommend “a 4-week waiting period after the last cough” in order to be vaccinated with the canine influenza vaccine.
.
If my dog is being boarded at Bark-A-Bout, can they still get vaccinated while I am not present?
Yes. Please notify our front desk receptionists upon drop-off that your dog(s) are getting vaccinated at our clinic and sign all vaccination authorization forms required. If your dog has already received one of their canine influenza vaccinations in the last month, please provide that paperwork to us ahead of time.[/vc_border_section]
